Lush Cosmetics Wins Prestigious Australian Business Awards

In 2014, Lush Cosmetics chose Hydroflux Industrial to help provide a long-term, sustainable solution to its wastewater treatment needs.

The brief was to help Lush Cosmetics maintain its strong stance in environmental awareness and to minimise its ecological footprint while providing an effective, low-cost system for its new manufacturing facility in Sydney, Australia.

This, plus the fact that Lush Cosmetics is a company that values environmental sustainability and the use of naturally-produced raw materials in its products, has helped the company again win the 2015 Australian Business Award for Sustainability, having previously won this award in 2013.

“The number of green Initiatives that Lush Cosmetics has put into practice spans the whole product cycle from sourcing and manufacturing to product delivery,” says Hydroflux Industrial Director, Mathew Pugh.

“These green initiatives include the ethical sourcing of naturally-produced ingredients, the use of sustainable packaging, encouraging staff and customers to recycle, eliminating disposable coffee cups for staff, providing water refill stations in stores for customers to refill their drink bottle for free, and the list goes on,” he says.

“Hydroflux is proud to be associated with Lush and heartily congratulates the management and staff of Lush on winning this prestigious ABA100 Sustainability award”
